Strategic Guidance for the College Transition

You’ve spent years advocating for your child—now college expects them to do it alone.

I help families increase chances of documentation being accepted and accommodations being in place and teach students exactly how to ask for what they need—so they don’t struggle silently or miss critical support.

Worried your student’s documentation or self-advocacy skills aren’t ready for college?

Helping Your Student Thrive in College

Are you worried that...

  • Your student will fall through the cracks without the support you provided in high school?

  • Their IEP, 504 plan, or documentation won’t be accepted by the college?

  • They won’t know how to ask for accommodations without oversharing or feeling embarrassed?

  • You’ll get the panic call because something went wrong and you won’t know how to help?

You’re not alone.

The transition to college support systems can be confusing and overwhelming—for both students and parents. Colleges expect students to self-advocate, but many aren’t prepared to navigate the complex accessibility process on their own.

Here’s how I help your family:

Ensure documentation is complete so accommodations start on time.

Teach your student how to communicate their needs confidently without feeling pressured to disclose more than they want.

Guide your family through the college accommodation process to reduce confusion and stress.
